Overview:  Contracted as the primary UX Researcher for WeavAir, an AQI startup in Singapore. Streamlined priorities to focus on the most crucial and feasible tasks within a four-week timeline. Identified a critical challenge: WeavAir's insufficient customer onboarding, relying heavily on email and Google Forms. Took proactive measures to enhance their competitive edge in the market.
Resolution: Developed an intuitive onboarding flow that seamlessly guides potential users, from initial inquiry to smooth system installation.
Role: Requirements gathering, user research, competitive research, data analysis, information architecture, journey mapping, personas, lo-fi & hi-fi mockups
Challenges:
* Revamping the entire onboarding flow to enhance user experience
* Addressing the absence of a guided walkthrough, with the Google form being the primary mode of contact and onboarding

*Creating a mobile-specific design for a web-based platform
* Effectively collaborating with a geographically dispersed team across Africa, North America, and Asia*Google form acts as the primary mode of contact and onboarding. A walkthrough was completely absent
Defining the Focus
By engaging in insightful discussions with WeavAir, our team adeptly identified the onboarding flow as the pivotal area to prioritize and enhance.
The Existing Onboard
Although the main site page already in place, the remaining contact, information, and question subpages were exclusively reliant on Google Forms. Moreover, the WeavAir site was limited to a web browser interface, presenting an opportunity for expansion and improved accessibility.
The Project Plan
The plan acted as a compelling beacon, constantly reminding our team of the imminent deadline and fueling our collective drive to concentrate efforts towards achieving our goals.

Synthesis of Research
User Story Ideation Flow
We synthesized their existing research to uncover crucial user stories for the most significant user journeys, effectively prioritizing and categorizing them into three primary paths.
User Stories
End-to-End User Experience
By leveraging user stories, journey mapping, user task flows, and continuous conversations, we crafted a comprehensive end-to-end user experience map that laid the foundation for our information architecture.
User Task Flow
User Journey
Standard Personas
Information Architecture & Interaction Design
Through collaborative discussions, we synergized insights, user needs, and industry standards. Taking a systematic approach, we developed new wireframes as a fundamental step towards the creation of a high-fidelity design. To optimize efficiency within the given time constraints, we proposed hi-fi wireframe mockups for both mobile and web experiences. WeavAir would actively engage in further clarifications, as required.
Empathy, Reconnaissance & Definition, Ideation, Prototyping
Upon completion of the contract, WeavAir would assume the responsibility for conducting the next testing phase.
OUTCOME: The Handoff
Mobile Sketch to Wireframes
Web-based Wireframes
The ultimate outcome was a captivating and immersive first impression, marked by a distinct and uniquely branded experience that broke free from the limitations and perceptions associated with Google Forms.
Learnings

WeavAir approached us with an extensive list of UX and UI objectives to fulfill. Although an ongoing iterative process would have been ideal, we had to prioritize and narrow our focus within the constraints of the contract timeline. By establishing Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timebound (SMART) goals, we transformed the daunting task into an inspiring and invigorating endeavor.
Open Collaboration
Embracing a cross-functional collaborative approach, leveraging the unique strengths and expertise of each team member, paved the way for a collective journey towards focused and impactful success.
Zoning Matters
Despite the initial scheduling challenges posed by a geographically dispersed team spanning three continents, we successfully navigated and adapted to ensure smooth collaboration. This valuable lesson reinforces the immense potential and power of connectivity in our interconnected world, serving as a constant source of inspiration.
Foundations
An additional goal was to establish robust foundations that would serve as a reliable reference point for WeavAir. By equipping them with comprehensive tools, method explanations, and deliverables, we empowered them to continue their iterative UX journey with confidence and clarity.
