Before the Coup d'Etat in Burkina Faso, I facilitated participatory research and capacity building through strategic program planning, implementation, and evaluation. One notable project was Tomate Barpouguini, an enterprise turning surplus tomatoes into shelf-stable products, providing much-needed nutrition and income in a country where food spoils quickly due to 90-degree temperatures and limited refrigeration. This co-op has revolutionized lives, offering supplemental nutrition and additional income to women and families, particularly during the harsh, dry months.
