I am adept at building relationships with diverse stakeholders and facilitating collaboration. I have a unique appreciation for diversity of peoples, cultures and ideas. I am accustomed to wearing many hats and, I like collecting them.
Before the Coup d'Etat in Burkina Faso, I was facilitating participatory research and capacity building through program planning, implementation and evaluation. Tomate Barpouguini is now an enterprise that employs women and subsistence farmers to transform excess tomatoes, that would otherwise go to waste, into tomato products. These products have an average shelf life of six months in a country with an average temperature of 90 degrees and, little access to refrigeration. Food parishes quite quickly in this environment. The co-op has transformed lives by providing supplemental nutrition and extra income for women and families, especially during the hot, dry months.
